Total Cost that God needs to provide for you for December-January program: (airfare and everything included): $2950.

NOTE: The Escuela del Maestro is a 501(c3) tax exempt organization, and therefore all payments and donations are tax-deductible.

Within a week of sending application : $100. This is just a small, non-refundable deposit to guarentee your place in the Escuela.

4 months before you leave: $1350. This is to reserve your airplane ticket before the prices go up, and a small deposit for the school.

3 months before you leave: $750. (1/4 of the remaining half).

1 month before you leave : $750. (The last 1/4).

This program includes everything, including airfare, housing, all meals, laundry, all classes, all course materials, internet, a cell phone, all outtings and ministry experiences, airport pickup, transportation for outtings, etc etc.

The only thing you should need money for once you get here is souveniers, snacks, and occasional bus money.

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11: 22-24

Step One: PRAY!!!! In prayer, seriously consider the resources that the Lord has given you. Maybe you have savings. Maybe you will get a tax return. Maybe God has blessed you with a good job or the ability to get a student loan. The first step is to think about how much the Lord has already put into your own hands.

Step Two : When you have thought about how much you have, now think about how much extra you need. Let's say for example you still need $2000. Remember, Jesus tells us that we need to believe we have received it already. So, we now need to figure out where you are receiving it from.

a. Get your Church community involved: Explain to your parish priest the mission that the Lord is calling you to, and ask if you can either talk at the Masses, have a second collection, take donations outside Church, or put something in the bulletin for anyone that would like to help you.

b. Share this mission with your family and friends: Talk to everyone you know about your trip!! Knock on your neighbors doors, talk to people at school or work, send a letter like this SAMPLE LETTER to your family and friends, sharing with them what God has put on your heart and inviting them to make a donation or pray for you. DON'T NOT INCLUDE SOMEONE ON YOUR LIST BECAUSE YOU THINK THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO DONATE-- GOD WILL SURPRISE YOU!!

c. Have a fundraiser! Have a yard sale, sell baked goods outside of the Masses, get the youth group involved and have a car wash, etc etc.

Step Three : FOLLOW UP!! If you don't hear anything within a week or two from the people you sent letters to, it might not be the case that they don't want to help. They might honestly have forgotten! Give them a call, and ask if they got your letter, and thank them for their support and prayers!
